The “King of Country” is going back out on the road.  George Strait has announced a nationwide tour dubbed “The Cowboy Rides Away”.  The tour will kick off in January in his native Texas and conclude in New Orleans. A live announcement through Livestream and Facebook from the legendary country singer has confirmed the plans to tour in 2013.  The country superstar has also announced this will be his final tour.  At 60-years-old, Strait will play 20 shows in 2013 and 20 more in 2014.  The dates in 2014 are still unannounced but will serve as the final farewell for one of the biggest names in all of entertainment.  Members of the George Strait fan club will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets on October 9th, and the general public will get their shot on October 12th.  The onsales are scheduled to take place at 10AM local time.  So far only the 2013 dates have been released.  Fans in cities that were skipped this round will anxiously hold their breath for the announcement of the 2014 leg of The Cowboy Rides Away Tour, in hopes of being one of the final cities to see this legend live.  Keep checking back for more information on the 2014 dates as it becomes available.
