Well, technical difficulties (zero Internet) made it hard for us (and most other publications) to report live from Sasquatch! this year, but we do have some coverage of day one here. Here is our full-on review of the festival with photos and concert reviews!
After setting up camp, parking at our spot in the *platinum* lot (yeah, it was sweet! thanks, Deb and City Arts!), and a little confusion about how to get our press passes, we were good to go. My first stop was the mainstage to catch Minus The Bear just after 2:00. I probably don’t need to get in to too much detail about how awesome the set was, because chances are, you already know if you’ve ever even listened to them. The band was super stoked to be there and the crowd it seemed, even more so. Amazing show.
After Minus the Bear’s set, I ran over to a side stage for Portugal. The Man’s set. I saw these guys open up for Minus the Bear in Portland a couple of years ago, and remember being pretty impressed. This time, they weren’t as amazing as I remembered them to be, but the crowd was huge and they were incredibly fun to watch.
More from days one and two later…time to get to the Long Winters!
